Now offering psychedelic prep and integration sessions
Psychedelics + therapy = potential for deep, transformative healing
There has been a growing movement of people exploring psychedelic use for treating trauma and other mental health diagnoses. The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) has completed phase 1 & 2 clinical trials and is now in phase 3 clinical trials exploring using MDMA to treat chronic PTSD. MDMA is showing promise in its efficacy at treating chronic PTSD, and there are many other studies underway to explore the beneficial effects on conditions other than PTSD.
Ketamine has been approved for treatment resistant depression, anxiety, and suicidality. There are several legal Ketamine clinics in the Asheville area and there are a growing number of therapists and facilities that are offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).
As more and more research emerges, we are realizing the power in non-ordinary states of consciousness to help us access a deep inner healing intelligence that has the power to transform our lives.
I have been curious about the use of plant medicine and psychedelics for personal growth and healing for several years. In April 2022, I completed the MAPS MDMA Therapy training to expand my knowledge base and step into this realm of powerful healing potential for clients. While most psychedelic substances are still considered to be illegal in many states, there is a growing number of places that have decriminalized the use of psychedelics, making it more accessible for people to use these substances for healing purposes.
While I do not and cannot endorse the use of illegal substances, I am offering preparation sessions to help people prepare for psychedelic and plant medicine journeys, as well as integration sessions to help them make meaning of their experiences after their medicine session is complete. If you have questions or are interested in talking more about what these types of sessions might look like, please reach out to set up a time to talk!
